While most other beverages, such as carbonated soft drinks, many juices, energy drinks, fortified beverages, teas and coffees usually contain calories, sugars, chemicals, artificial ingredients, caffeine, colorings and preservatives in what many believe to be unhealthy amounts, All - Natural Chilmark Spring Water contains none of the above. Almost all beverages today are supplied in plastic or metal containers. Even most hot coffee is sold in plastic cups.
The beverage industry has resorted to “light-weighting” in an attempt to reduce the impact of beverage packaging on
the environment, because it is the cheapest way the industry can address this issue. For the most part, the industry
has rejected the use of available BIODEGRADABLE packaging materials, because they cost more.

We at Chilmark Spring Water Company are extremely environmentally conscious, so, despite the additional cost, we package all our 20 oz. products in Biodegradable Bottles. While we strongly advocate recycling all packaging materials, we realize that many consumers just don’t bother. That is why we were one of the first, and remain one of only a handful
of bottlers in the country, to package our Natural Spring Water in Biodegradable Bottles. If a consumer fails to recycle our bottles, they will break down in the environment without contributing to the waste stream, or causing any harm.

Many people feel that refilling reusable water bottles with tap water is the best way to take water with you to drink. We disagree, for the following reasons:

1. Unless you thoroughly wash out and sanitize your reusable bottle after every use, that bottle quickly becomes a bacteria factory ! That is not good for your health.

2. Tap water quality varies widely, and always contains chemicals. Many people believe we are being exposed to too many chemicals in every phase of our lives. Many believe this causes health problems.

3. Some bottles people are using to refill, are made from materials not suitable for that purpose.

This is why we believe that chemical free, high quality Natural Spring Water, in Biodegradable Bottles, may be the best for you and the environment !
